SURGICAL OPERATING MICROSCOPE
Dr. Karmali uses a surgical operating microscope during every treatment. This allows for enhanced vision through illumination and magnification. We can see the minutest details inside your tooth.
This allows us to treat complex root canal anatomy, calcified canals, and cracks. This endodontic technology dramatically improves the diagnosis, treatment, and outcome of your root canal treatment.
Cone Beam CT
Cone Beam CT (computed tomography) scan provides for a high-resolution, three-dimensional image of your tooth and jaw. This helps in the diagnosis, planning, and treatment of your tooth. This technology uses minimal radiation.
It enables a level of anatomical understanding not possible with traditional dental x-rays. We are able to view microscopic sections of teeth and surrounding structures in all three planes: top to bottom, side to side, and front to back.
Fotona Lightwalker Laser
Your successful treatment depends upon fully disinfecting the inside of your tooth. One of the main reasons that Root Canal Treatments fail is that bacteria are left behind. Dr. Karmali uses the Lightwalker Dental Laser in all of his treatments.
The Lightwalker is the only laser able to perform SWEEPS® (Shock Wave Enhanced Emission Photo-acoustic Streaming).
SWEEPS allows for 3- 3-dimensional streaming of the disinfectants throughout the complex root canal system. The irrigants are able to safely penetrate into the deepest areas of the root. The root canal system is left virtually bacteria and debris-free. The Lightwalker laser can also be used to relieve your pain and to speed your healing.
DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
By using computerized digital x-rays, we can reduce the radiation to our patients by nearly 90%. Because they’re digital, these x-rays can be enhanced by the computer for improved visualization. The ability to see subtleties using digital radiography is crucial to diagnosis, collaboration, and patient communication.
TDO ENDODONTIC TECHNOLOGY SOFTWARE
We use TDO Software. It is considered the best endodontic technology software available. It is used to securely manage all patient records and information. The software has comprehensive modules that make our office paperless. This is a great convenience for our patients and referring dentists. It allows our patients to securely complete medical history and consent forms online prior to their appointment. The software allows our referring dentists to make referrals and receive patient reports immediately after the patient is seen. This technology is extremely secure, efficient, and HIPAA compliant.
